Dance with Cinti was founded by our Principal, Miss Jacinta McArdle, with one simple belief: performing arts should be for everyone.

Growing up in North Wales and later going on to work professionally in the performing arts, Jacinta knew first-hand how difficult it could be to find a pathway into the industry without parents who had experience or connections within it. She wanted to create the opportunities she would have loved to have had growing up right here in North Wales.

 

For the student who dreams of performing professionally, we aim to provide the training, experiences, guidance and opportunities to help them take those next steps and see that a career in the performing arts really is possible.

 

But DWC has never been just about creating professional performers.

 

Some children walk through our doors dreaming of the stage. Others arrive needing confidence, friendships, a sense of belonging or simply somewhere they can be themselves. Over the years, we have seen first-hand the incredible impact performing arts can have on confidence, communication, focus and behaviour. Parents regularly tell us about the positive changes they have seen in their children since joining DWC.

 

For children who are neurodivergent, have lots of energy, find traditional environments challenging or simply need a positive and creative outlet, performing arts can provide somewhere to channel that energy, express themselves and discover what they can do. That's why our Academy is a place for all abilities and all ambitions. Whether a student's dream is a professional stage, performing in one of our shows, mastering a new skill, making friends or simply finding the confidence to walk into class each week with their head a little higher, their achievement matters to us.

 

Today, our home in Gyffin, Conwy provides two dedicated studios and opportunities across dance, musical theatre, acrobatics, aerial arts, skating and more. We want every student who walks through our doors to have the opportunity to discover their potential, build confidence, make memories and feel part of something.
